Currently Reading: Secret non-fic…will mention later.
I don’t read much non-fiction, but I’m “under assignment”, so to speak (which is why I can’t name the title just yet), with some non-fiction books right now, and one of them is a true crime account. I’ll admit, I normally stick to fiction, so I wasn’t really sure if I’d enjoy it, but I’m finding it pleasantly intriguing (yes, I know “pleasant” isn’t probably the right word here, but you know what I mean).
It reminded me that over the years, I’ve bought several non-fiction books about serial killers and such that I’ve never quite gotten around to reading. Fiction is just so…addictive. But I kind of feel like I’m missing out on something by just letting those non-fic accounts sit patiently on my shelves. I may need to pull them out after this. I suspect at least a few will probably be just as engaging as some of the thriller/adventure/horror novels I generally steep myself in.
Do you read true crime, or non-fiction “thriller” accounts? Anything you’d recommend?
