Changes, News & A New Story Begins

A little admin this week, as the precursor to some fun new things starting soon:

As of next week, the regular blog posts will be moving from Fridays to Wednesdays. Why? Well, I’m starting a new novel, and just for fun, I’ll be posting the draft right here in serial format, beginning Friday, September 16th. The novel will be free in draft form, though there will be a tip link available beginning with the second installment, and if you’re enjoying what you read, a tip would certainly be appreciated.

If you don’t want to have to check back here on the site every week, please feel free to sign up for blog updates – there’s a handy form in the sidebar. Doing that will ensure you get both the regular Wednesday posts and the serial story posts delivered right to your inbox as soon as they’re available.

Speaking of subscriptions, I’ll be starting up the monthly newsletter again as well, so if you don’t want weekly posts but still want to be “in the know”, sign up for that here, and you’ll get an email on the third Monday of every month, with links to the month’s blog posts along with release news, snippets, trivia, polls, and the occasional newsletter-exclusive discount or deal. It’s a good list to be on. Kinda dark, but we like it that way, right?

Speaking of announcements – I’m happy to say that Beet It is now available wherever you normally buy books! Go get a copy (links at the bottom of this post), and you’ll have a great excuse to turn down both beets and meatloaf the next time someone tries to serve them at dinner!

As for the new story…it’s gonna be a wild ride. We are going to learn about the Legend of Gruesome Gully, its dark and dreadful purpose, and then we’ll chase down the very first inhabitant with Silas Dawson, the Dispatcher, to mete out retribution befitting of not-so-dear Mr. Wentworth’s crime.

The working title of the new story is Tastes Like Pork, and I do hope you’ll join me for the serial draft. I think it will be…well…delicious…
